Lizzie, a women in her late 30's, decides to phone Megan Viets and renew their friendship when Lizzie's husband, Dr. Ray Khazin, takes a job as a surgeon at the local Mountain Community hospital where Megan lives in a quiet mountain top community. Shortly after the renewal of their friendship something dreadful happens to Lizzie and Megan has to turn her sight to discovery what happened to her dear friend. Could Lizzie's husband have caused something terrible  to happen?  Megan turns from her mystery writing career to begin a real life investigation at the dismay of her Sheriff husband.
